‘Wedding’ is a word hiding a wisdom of tradition, the magic of the present moment and at the same time also the promise of a happy future. It is one of the oldest institutions in communities of people -  it was very common in ancient times. In the past, the purpose of marriage, in addition to assuming continuance of the family, was for example, the multiplication of material wealth. Today however, these two aspects are rather marginalized and couples who opt for marriage, often do so to obtain a sense of personal happiness, safety and security. Brides and grooms will want to preserve the memory of this special day and to all who have come to celebrate with them. If you want to give them a truly original gift, The Wedding Thaler 2016 in silver by Czech Mint is a great opportunity to do so. Let the precious metal speak for you! Before the ceremony - according to an old English tradition, the bride has to put a coin into the left shoe, or have it sewn into the hem of her dress, so the marriage will not suffer with poverty. In Greece they gave the newlyweds coins to take to bed - they are then said to secure fertility and prosperity. These are things that the happy couple would certainly not forgo! Likewise, they would not forgo a charming silver medal, designed by the excellent artist Josef Oplištil, MgA. He has created, for both sides, a worthy and very symbolic composition. The face is adorned with a sculpture of a heart connecting two wedding rings and text, (revers-this is not an english word?) with intermingled symbols of men and women. The medal is presented in a tasteful themed blister, which will always convey your warm wishes to the bride and groom.
