The Czech Mint embellishes the favourite collection of one-ounce gold medals History of Warcraft with its fourth consecutive issue. The latest mintage is dedicated to the famous naval Battle of Trafalgar, which took place just 210 years ago – 21 October 1805. The Battle of Trafalgar was the culmination of Napoleon's efforts to increase his influence in Europe - his plan involved the invasion of England and domination over the waters of the Mediterranean Sea in order to release French overseas trade. Admiral Horatio Nelson, Commander in Chief of the British Navy, was able to coordinate his attack in such a way, that during the five-hour battle 19 of the 33 ships of the united Franco-Spanish fleet were destroyed without losing a single own ship. However, for that victory he paid the highest price – he was wounded by a musket shot and died about three hours later, just thirty minutes before the end of the battle. After having been informed of the imminent British victory, he uttered the words: "Now I am happy. Thank God I have done my duty. "For his bravery he was declared a national hero. Beautiful medal of pure gold, weighing one troy ounce in high-proof-quality comes from the  academic painter Karel Zeman`s workshop. He demonstrated his ability to deal masterfully will historical topics during the preparation of previous issues from the series History of Warcraft. The obverse side of his latest piece dedicated to the famous naval battle is decorated with a portrait of Admiral Nelson, with his equally famous ship Victory in the background. The scene is completed with the inscription HORATIO NELSON. The reverse side then draws us directly in the Battle of Trafalgar, and is completed with the text 1805 TRAFALGAR. Do not miss the latest collector's gem and add this valuable work of art with great investment potential to your collection.
