Genuine symbol of Czech vintage cars
We can no longer imagine our life without cars. But how did it all begin? Czech Mint dedicated to the pioneers of motoring a series of gold-plated silver medals titled “History of Motoring in the Czech Lands“. The first car - the legendary Laurin & Klement Voiturette A - was construed back in 1905 in the town of Mladá Boleslav which became a symbol of car manufacture in our country.
The design of the medals was created by outstanding academic sculptor Jiří Dostál – a devoted fan of technology and motor sport who very accurately – to the last screw – depicted the cars. The obverse features the logo of the firm Laurin & Klement and a detailed depiction of the voiturette. On the reverse he placed the name of the series – the three dimensional profile of the medal creates the impression of a tyre and a driving wheel. Surprise the fan of motoring in your family with an untraditional gift that attracts attention with its artistic rendition as a beautiful collector item and has great investment potential. You can increase its value by getting all items in the series!
